Trends often last between just under 90 days to a year, she said. If the trend continues to appear in stores, major retailers and nightclubs around the globe, then she earmarks trends for its customers.
Liz Pierce, a retail brand and licensing analyst for Brean Capital, has attended many lectures Fields'. T-shirts for young women is important for retailers, Pierce said. "It allows each retailer to flex inventories relatively quickly. It also allows them a different point," Pierce said.
She noted that the T-shirts seem to be part of everyone's wardrobe. "For the young girls, they love the characters and animation," she said. "When they move up in age, it may become less a part of their wardrobe."
